Say “Yes” Today!
4/9/2018
Why do we live our lives as two different people? The “you” you want others to think you are, and the “real you” at home behind closed doors? Society and the media have created an illusion of what a successful person should look like based on their standards. For too long, we have measured our self-worth by the world's standards. True success is not defined by the amount of money in our bank account, the size of or number of home you have or the number of cars in the driveway.
I don't know about you, but I was exhausted trying to live up to this unrealistic, fake image, and trying to keep my “double life” going. I sad, disappointed, disillusioned, defeated, frustrated and hurting at home, and in contrast projecting to the world the “super mom”, got-it-all-together image. Let's face it, none of us have it all together! We need to take our blinders off and get real with ourselves. We have been fed a lie and have believed it.
This is one of the tactics satan uses to keep us distracted from our reason for being here on earth. Satan knew that if we figure out why God created us, grasped hold of it, and step out in faith, we will be a weapon in the hand of God.
In contrast, satan wants to keep us so beaten down, and feeling defeated; that we are unable to get up out of our place of despair. He wants hopelessness to be our everyday reality, but it does not have to be.
I am here to tell you that you can make hope, peace, love, joy and security your new reality. That hope is named Jesus! You need to know that you are loved with an everlasting love, and that no one on earth can give you that love other than your Creator. Each of us was created by Him and for Him. Do you ever feel a longing or emptiness deep down in your soul that never seems to be satisfied? We try so desperately to fill that emptiness or void in our heart with the things of this world, whether it be food, material things, drugs, alcohol, sex or even getting lost in the television, but it never works! We are right back to where we started, feeling empty inside, then needing more and more to reach that euphoric feeling that only a relationship with your Creator was meant to fill. It is like we are a hamster running on a wheel that keeps going around and around, stuck in a cycle of hopelessness.
The cycle of hopelessness has been created by the busyness of our lives. This busyness has created so many distractions and preoccupations that we are not to be able to develop a much needed relationship with our Creator. The world's system has influenced our priorities and they are really very much out of order. A realignment of our life needs to take place. We need to get back to our first love, as it says in Revelation 2:4, and put God as the number one priority in our life. We need to say “Yes” to a personal relationship with Him. Trust me; I can tell you from first-hand experience, God will exchange your sadness, pains, and heartaches for joy; your turmoil, stresses, and pressures for peace, and your tears, sorrows and pains for laughter.
I want those who read this message to know you are not an accident or a mistake and neither is your life. There is a divine assignment for your life, with a specific purpose and destiny that only you can fulfill. There are people on the earth that only you can reach.
Do not try to reason it out. God thinks differently than you do. If you only knew what God's plan was for you and your life. He loves and cares for you. You keep looking at all the mistakes and failures in your past, but that does not matter to God. He is waiting for you to say “Yes”, to a relationship with Him. He loves you unconditionally with an everlasting and with an unfailing love. He longs for you to know you are worth it to Him. He loves you no matter what! All God wants is you, just as you are. What have you got to lose? Say, “Yes” today!
